Exactly, and I'm the type of guy who would rather save than spend all his money. Realistically I would have a 2nd car if it was a fun little project car that's opposite of my truck and gets much better mpg, say a 90s miata

 

Depends how much you use it. Yes insurance and registration is double, but gas and maintenance only depends on how much you use and how you treat them

 

Anything except for like a hummer will get better gas mileage than your taco haha

 

I looked into a second beater truck to crawl with, all those small costs add up way too fast, especially for a piece of crap car, on a nice truck I can say it's fair but something that is not woth it just isn't worth it unless your rolling in cast then fuck it haha

 

Sorry but I'm a person who prefers to keep his savings private. Let's say if I sell my tacoma, I could get at least 7k for that, Blue Book puts it at higher, than my budget would be under 15k. If I don't sell it, I'd prefer to keep it under 7k

 

Ya I hear ya, which is why I rather stick with one vehicle. Also not interested in making a full out crawler, just something I can daily and have some fun with.

 

Ya that was my thinking, I'm probably going to get a 1st gen since I can save more in the long run on upgrades. Ah time go look for barn finds.

True then again I'm over 6 foot and I'm comfy. Only 1 of my friends is close to that, and ya he isnt the most comfy in my passenger seat; than again he drives a full size Ram 1500 haha.
Having a smaller truck keeps the fat chicks away haha

 

Yo @YotaGurlIAm how's the double cab working for you. Are friends avoiding riding in the back or do they live with it? I'd love to hear an opinion on the space back there from someone whoa actually owns a 1st gen double cab

That's the plan, 1st gen double cab. Unless by some 4runner miracle they convert me to a 4runner lol

 

Get an extended cab. It's enough room to store stuff but not so much room that you have to feel obliged to give people rides. Girl likes your truck? Invite her along for the ride. Her friends?.. They can fuck off and like it.
