Excellent point there. I picked up a safe from TSupply and it has a digital push button and dial backup. More costly, but well worth it.

And there shouldn't be. You should be either putting out a fire or getting to safety. "Hang on, honey! I have to save the AR!"

I should clarify that I would not actually be trying to open and save my AR during a fire. Well at least I would save that before the girlfriend. I would bring the ARs outside then go in and notify her... " hang on windham! I Gota get the girlfriend!" Yea I'm sorry the SKS perished she wasn't as important.

The point is you will never get one open quickly if your panicked or even had too much caffeine. But then again a bigger safe is not intended for ease of access. That's why many company's have other fantastic designs that are intended for such purposes. Bottom line is I wanted a safe that would be reliable for quite some time and assumed a dial would be better than a combo safe. After owning one and feeling the safe and lock I would rather own an electronic safe with the backup key or combo. It's irritating and feels cheap granted its a Winchester 24 with a dial so it is low end safe. While I feel the cheap one compared to a Liberty ect. fit my needs adequately the dial was not the improvement I had assumed it would be over the electric one.

As long as the inside temp stays less than 350 degrees 98% of the stuff inside will survive with minor to no damage. But you need to make sure that the rating is @ the highest temp for allowed time 60,90 minutes etc and a good thermal door seal....

Bought my g27. My wife was going to get a .380 glock but is worried about not being what she wants. Going to go shoot a couple this week and find one that fits.

I normally buy beer for when people come over, but a lever action shotgun is cool too.

    I just bought a Ruger Vaquero 357. I'll post a picture soon.

It's a single action revolver. It's a handsome gun, if I say so myself.
