I just picked up a 1996 tacoma extra cab, 3.4l auto. I got the truck to haul stuff around and drive daily, this is my first truck, so its going to take some time being use to it. Other cars currently are an s4 and m3 so this is completely different!

I was doing some searching about adding a supercharger to this thing and the kits all say 1997-> is there a reason 96 is not included?

Also what is the reccomend TB change period for the engine 5VZFE? it has 208k right now.

The 1995.5 - 1996 ECU does not work well with the TRD supercharger kit. Basically, TRD gave up and would only recommend the kit for 1997+ Tacomas.

Might be able to get one from URD. But, considering you have two sports cars, I'd say save the ~$2000 and put it in your cars.

can i put a 97 ecu in the car? or is there more involved other than just the ecu, i have access to just about any used toyota part i need since i have a friend that owns a toyota dismantler.

They are pretty much fixed up already, as much as i want to do to them. Time for some love to the truck :)

both are 2001. s4 is a stage3 , m3 is lowered on some 19s with some minor mods.

Good taste man, you need to take some pics of them. Does the stage three kit have the K04's and is so what are you running them at?
