Did you have any problems with the front two bolts not having enough clearance to stand up and drop down inside the metal tube?

Not yet, I might wait a little to see what comes out thats 100% for a 2016, I don't have any immediate towing needs, I mainly got the hitch as an accessory mounting point and a place to pull from at the back of the truck (and every truck should have one in my opinion)

Did you use the small rectangle metal tabs with the square hole in it? I tried and there was no way I can get those on there and stand up the bolt, it wasnt even close. Mabye I was trying to hurry since I installed it before work this morning, I'll look at it again this afternoon.

Yep you put those on the bolts and the trick is to remove those from the bolts when its in the bumper support and insert the bolt into the whole 180 degrees different than what the directions show!

Finished the install this morning. Tried fishing the tabs and bolt through the frame for like an hour and that was a no go, lost patience with that part of the install. Bolts fit through fine without rectangular metal tabs with square hole, was still able to tighten the front two bolts down without the tabs. Thread on the screws shows a couple millimeters more than installed with tabs. Overall very happy with the product, structural integrity, and price.

Finished completely by tightening front two bolts using a pair of vice grips on the thread and a crescent wrench on the nut, super tight now. Then I prepped and blacked out the bolts with truck bed liner

Do they have a 100% plug and play model yet?

Well there ya go, that makes it easy. I'm putting that down on my to buy list. I mainly got the hitch for what I can mount to it rather than towing needs but down the road I want it to be fully functional for a small trailer. Thanks

I just installed mine Friday and it works fantastic, also purchased a in line Fuse holder and ran the 12v right into the Fuse box and hooked it up the the 30 amp trailer Fuse that's already there, and added the truck 20 amp for the harness. It makes it cleaner than going to the battery!

    Here are some pictures:

I might eventually do that. Does the factory cover just snap on? Haven't really looked at it

Yep, from behind there are 2 clips you squeeze and that blank just pops right off!!!

Here is few pictures of the blank Toyota uses for that spot!
And here is the link to the trailer wiring harness and the 4-7 pin connector!

That's cool. Don't think I'll be needing a 7 pin though. I suppose you could split off and wire both up
