Running by a machine shop now to see if I can get them to do it today

 

That sucks. I can't believe that snapped though. I always just hand tightened them with a wrench and never had a problem.

 

i hand tightened mine with a wrench also. I was afraid to torque them down

 

Super bummed on it but neither can I. I hand tightened it about half way so I know it's not cross threaded.

Not sure whether to still put the passenger side in and do this one when its done and just run half an icon lift for a few days of driving

 

So it looks like don't torque them down

Get some loctite

 

Locktite is in the box I am bringing down. Need it for the wheel spacers as well

Worth putting lock tite on it? Thinking down the line when they possibly need rebuild or if I ever go to something with a resi

 

You can break locktite but it will help the screws from backing out.

 

They've got lock nuts too

 

I made mine hand tight. Old screws and such. I was comfortable not using loctite but if you don't want to torque something at lease the bolt won't back out.

Wouldn't worry about it. If you have a Drexel with a cutoff wheel You could cut a slit in the bolt and try to back out the part you broke too...

 

I never loctited mine and didn't have an issue. I always just checked them every few thousand miles to make sure they were tight.
