Yep Colorado requires a front plate. I got pulled over in an explorer before. Had the plate in the cab. It was off because i was fixing the front bumper. Got out of the ticket because i explained that and since i had the plate. He told me to just put it in the front window for now.

I have had mine in the window since I got the plates, haven't had any issues yet -knocks on wood-

Hey folks, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for places to go in the Denver/Aurora area to look into lifts. My wife finally agreed to put some money into the truck, but I don't know anything about lifts, suspensions, tires, etc. I'm looking for a place that can help teach me what's what and do the labor. I have a million questions, so somewhere friendly that doesn't mind explaining things to me would be preferred.

    Thanks!

I also suggest heading over to Toytec Lifts in Thornton, they have all the answers to the questions!!! The don't do installs but you can pick up all your goodies local and have some of us local guys help install sometimes.

Well that is what you get for having thicker material than any of our skids! (and just because I know you will say it but... "fully boxed frame")

lol. The body hits the sliders and feels real nice. haha. I may undo the bolts on the body mounts and jack the body of the frame to get a few inches to try to clearance it a little more.

Hey, @3378jakesr5 brought it up first, so I just kept going.

Ok, sweet! I'll look into Toytec. I've heard of them but didn't know they're local. I've tried to read forums on the types of lifts but still don't understand. Plus I'm not sure if I should start with tires over lift, need to work within a budget, etc. And I feel like an ass when I ask a ton of questions on here.

    Thanks for the help!

As long as you make an effort to look up stuff, and don't make another tire-lift thread you should be fine. Nothing wrong asking questions if you don't understand something.

I wanna say corey at insain might be to busy for Lift installs currently as he is focusing on fabrication, doesn't hurt to ask him though!!. @InSainFab @SilverGhost can you get that answer? They are great guys at both shops, good people to know for sure!
