Going to have mine shipped to work in Garland. I'm game to combine shipping if that would work. Business with delivery dock so no lift gate fee etc. Secure if timing doesn't work out for day of delivery

    @Cascadia Tents

As far as the summit series goes, do you guys think it would be worth the upgrade for someone who camps maybe 2-3 weeks out of the year and usually not in extreme weather? The only things I want is the lighting and the mat which can be easily added. What the difference between the the 280g and the 380g material?

Dont know yet. I will find out soon

    20% off

    done

Guys, shipping weight is more than the actual weight of the tent. The tent will be put in a wood frame and then boxed up.

That's why you are getting higher weights when quoted for shipping.

I park my Tacoma next to the 4runner.

Lay some 2x4s on the tacoma bed and set it on the 2x4s

I then get on the tacoma and just pick up and transfer to the top of the 4runner

    you can do that

    added

I can add you. There is also a list on T4R.org

    No sir.

    added

You guys need to tel lme what you want before I add you to the list

Yes, tell me what you want and I will add you to the list.

Also, tell your expedition portal friends

No they miss-weighed mine at the shipping sort that's why :) even with the shippin box (which it's not shipped in wood pallets anymore or at least mine wasn't) it won't accumulate an extra 250lbs lol

Major shipping companies use what's called a "dimensional weight" system when shipping large freight. They don't actually weigh the item on a scale (usually). They measure length, width and height and plug those numbers into a chart to get the "weight" used to determine price.

I believe UPS and FedEx post their dimensional weight charts online.
