Dash computer, Information Screen, 4th page down

So on my dash computer on the Information screen where you can page down to view different info, it appears the 4th page is blank.

Page 1: Speed/Distance to Empty
Page 2: Current Fuel Economy
Page 3: Trip Distance/Time

There is a 4th, blank page after that. The setup screen only allows you to program 3 screens.

Does anyone else have this blank screen/page?

 

yes, normal, for those who don't want info in that area.

 

But that's just it. I don't know where to add info to that area if I wanted it. The setup screen only allows for 3 choices.

Unless I'm missing something.

 

you can't, it's meant to be "blank" perhaps a customer doesn't like any info in that area.

 

What "customer"? If a 'customer' wants it to be blank a 'customer' might also want it not to be blank. My point is, there is a 4th screen and no method to put something there if you wanted it. Unless Toyota assumes that every 'customer' wants it blank.

Edit: I think I get what you mean now. If someone just wants to show a blank screen. Gotcha. Sorry.

I found it odd too.... whats the point of a blank screen?

 

some people want "less" info up.

 

My Saab has this great feature called "night panel"...basically when I'm in moose country at night I press a button and the entire interior goes dark except parts of the speedometer (and any gauge that is out of normal range will light up). Love it- really cuts the distractions and improves your ability to see the road. This is Toyotas way of letting you choose one less distraction.

 

I had to deliver a SAAB to a customer years ago and absolutely LOVED that feature.

Very very smart of them to do that. Now the whole reverse,key in, special hand-shake to start was another thing.

 

Some people like to black out the radio screen and have a blank screen in front of them. Less distractions especially at night.
