    There was that time at about 2:30am that I had a small battle with silt that was repeated again minutes before sunrise on the edge of mental insanity... I believe I have video evidence of not getting stuck, close but never happened! LOL Oh crap, but then there was that T-day sand dune incident too where they did bury to china but in all fairness so did the V8 powered projects and V8 powered M/T's also that were behind me!

    For those with 315s tires, are you running 16 or 17 in wheels?
    Got any pics?
    Also, what back spacing is it needed to clear shocks to not use wheel spacers? (Rear long travel, SUA)

    Depends on how far out your shocks are mounted but most people run less than 4.5 BS

    I'm currently running 4.5 backspace to clear 285s, plus 1.5in spacers to clear the 2.5s shocks.

    dont waste your time with 16s, its a dying size. Look for something ideally with a 4.5-4.75 BS and a 0mm offset. You will have to run spacers regardless if you're keeping the stock housing and want to stay off your shocks at full articulation.

    also, the lower the back spaced wheel you run too the more issues you will likely have with wear on your front hubs and bearings from the increased leverage of running the wheel that much further out of center. Spacers, although never ideal, have really gotten a bad name. If you treat a wheel spacer just like you would a wheel and include retorquing and inspecting them into your normal prep routine you will likely not have many preventable issues with them especially if you only run them in the back of the truck.

    Since when? What happened to less rim more tire? Im still loving the 15s...

    A 315/75r16 is also 1" narrower then a 35x12.5r17. Definitely need spacers with 35s on 17s.

    TRD S/C, Camburg LT, DMZ SUA, SAW Shocks in all four corners, Glassworks hood, fenders and Bedsides, 35" Toyo MT, KMC Enduros
    Even some 17s don't fit the brakes. I'm running a 1/4" spacer up front and have grinded on the caliper some to clear 17" KMC Enduro beadlocks.
