What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Is there a write up on these? I think this would be handy.

 

Installed 6.5" spindle/bilstein (front) block/extended shocks (rear). 33" Mickey Thompsons on 17" steelies.

 

I'm digging those wheels with the white letters out.

 

The old wheels I put on CL for $550 but I feel like I might be asking too much. Little over $125 a wheel doesn't seem too bad.

 

Looks good with the letters out.

 

What is the purpose? More tint? Less wind noise? Looks?

 

I guess looks, and to be able to crack the window a tiny bit on those rainy warm days that you just want to get a little fresh air in the truck. Don't really think tint has anything to do it, especially since only the back windows come stock tinted (I had my two fronts tinted to match the back). And possibly wind noise as well, not sure yet about that though since I have to wait a few days before I can open my windows, to allow for the sticky strips to stick in the channel and hold.

I have the same shocks and I love them. Max droop @ 27.28"!

Brand names don't mean jack with that stuff. It's a commodity. Compare density per sq. ft between vendors and search the market for "foil self adhesive butyl mat"

Also what matters is selecting the right tool for the job. The damper stuff will help block and absorb some noise, but that's not is primary function. You want to use MLV for that.

Anyone who has had the TRD exhaust, did it come shipped in one box? Does it come disassembled in multiple pieces?

 

Mine wasn't even shipped in a box. They put foam over the tip, Saran wrapped the fuck out of it and slapped a shipping label on it.

LOL! Naw, I know what it does. It puts an even bigger whole in my wallet, that's what it does! Well, sort of... can't really complain since I got a killer price on them from Amazon.

 

Looks are a plus, but my main benefit is so I can crack my windows in the Texas Summer and keep the truck a little cooler and in case a sudden summer shower happens, I won't be caught with my windows being down while at work.

 

Son of a bitch... Now I want one lol I have a MGM with a roof rack too, and I like the way it came out on urs.. Can you throw a couple more pics on here from farther back?
