@ROC: You may have already answered this, but, if not, how did you mount the holster? Did you have to drill or permanently modify somehow?

I can tell the keys that you hung on the side. But, what is that other thing attached to the third wall? Looks like a battery.

That's how I was planning to mount mine because it puts it right in my hand.

What did I do? I broke it - that's what. Long story short, driving home the other night stopped at a red light I was showing my wife how to engage 4wd; she was planning to use it this weekend to go to the lake w/ her girlfriends and the driveway to the cabin is a bit sketchy and eroded and I wanted her to know how to use it just in case. So I've switched it to 4wd Hi, 4wd Low, and back to 2wd. Light turns green, I start making the turn through the light and all of a sudden all I hear is grinding coming from the differential case. I pull over to the side of the road it's basically dead-in-the-water at that point. Can't get it to engage into drive or reverse, 2wd, 4wd high, or 4wd low. Just grinds. Messed with it for about 15 minutes and realized there was no fixing it. It's now sitting at the local Toyota dealership being fixed. They're replacing the differential first and will see what else is happening after that; the service manager said in 21 years of working on Toyota's, he's never seen anything like it. Lucky me.

Oh, and before the questions start rolling - yes, it was fully back into 2wd before I took it out of neutral back into drive and started driving forward. My theory is that the solenoid just didn't lock back in place fully and during the turn it popped out, letting the gears slip and lock up. I'm not an expert though so feel free to weigh in with your own guesses.

Picked up my Access Cab last Friday. So far, I've installed OPT7 headlights, foglights, MattGecko underhood and bed lights, derp'd the badges and toyota emblem, added weathertech front floor mats, ordered suspension and 285/75R16 Cooper S/T Maxx. Loving it so far but looking forward to getting it up to the same standard as the 4Runner!
