I have an OR on order from the local dealership and I was planning on installing an air dam for fuel mileage. This is kind of a bummer as I don't want to give up the convenience of a front recovery point. Has anyone dremeled out access to keep the front hook???
Sorry if 50 people have and my searching skills are just really poor, but I did do a search for it as that is how I found the above comment, thanks.

I got some. It was actually only 5.82/can or something like that. Of course I live right down the road from the Walmart home office and have a little better prices, perhaps... I got the black along with some glossifier. Going to experiment and see how it looks with the gloss overlay. Thanks man!

Sorry its a little dark but I took it in my garage. You can see that the wire is running down from the light bar between the window and the frame in that channel. It fit perfect and its hardly noticeable.

Haven't got a chance to try it out on the fun stuff. As for noise and comfort? maybe a bit stiffer feeling, not so bouncy and looks hella good. No regrets, gf is a lot happier!? lol Always a good thing..

Did the exact same thing. But down the passenger side, Now I get a lot of interference in my radio whenever my lights are turned on. I'm guessing the antenna coax runs down the right A-pillar. You don't have that problem do you?

I haven't noticed any problems yet. Although I may have been using the Sirius radio. I will have to make sure I use the FM radio to make sure.

    From leapfrog lighting.com -

"Electro Magnetic Interference, or EMI, can be a big problem and is largely due to the fact that the LED power supply is switching at some rate to turn the supplied AC voltage into a DC voltage. Achieving this results in a circuit with lots of inductance, which produces an electric field around the circuit. In many cases the body of the lamp is plastic, which does not block transmission of the field. As a result, the field can interfere with electrical products around them."

I've read a lot about how people even have radio interference with led headlights as well.... I don't believe it has anything to do with your antenna coax; it sounds like it is just a draw back to led lighting in general. (Not an expert here, just based off of what I've read.)

I believe XM uses the antenna on the roof of the cab, what I don't know is if the AM/FM uses the same antenna or if it is located elsewhere.

This is accurate, I am no electrician expert but I do know my way around 2-way radio as I work in a Wireless Communications shop.

I know that radio waves can be greatly affected by electrical interference, reading your quote above doesn't really explain what I'm experiencing. The LED light bar is wired to a DC source so there is no conversion from AC. Also the bar is far enough away from the antenna that there really shouldn't be a problem. Also the while the lens of the light bar is plastic, the back is metal and should be shielding any "bleed" effect from the power output. The only thing I can think of is that one of my wires is too close to the antenna coax and the skin effect from the wattage is getting into the RF field.
