What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I replaced the license plate lights and installed my new baby antenna.

 

I've already had this on a couple weeks but....

Brian at camelback Toyota was very responsive in getting this fixed. he sent me a shipping label, and once he got the grille back next day'd me a new one. I highly recommend these guys, even with the chip, awesome customer service.


also installed weather stripping on my homemade tonneau, working pretty well so far.

Dipped my center console, love the way it looks!


and installed a front facing camera (haven't fully wired it yet, still figuring that part out) - anyone know how to make it work on a switch with the rear camera and stock head unit?

Also installed "sound deadener" on the front doors. I use quotations because I used pipe and duct insulation from lowes. I've never used dynamat or any others so I can't make a comparison, but the truck is much quieter on the road and the stereo sounds better already, and at a fraction of the cost... I don't see a down side...

How much did you pay for the color matched grill from them?

Thanks, trying to decide if I should do that or just paint the chrome a flat black like my emblem for my MGM truck.

got mine at a good price from the dealer. when I picked it up it was not in a box, just the tip was wrapped in bubble wrap.

 

I would be happy to share any results of success or failure.

 

Got my personalized plates: And my bed mat. Didn't realize until I put it in that I accidentally got the short bed version. Got it on Amazon and dunno if I want to bother trying to return it.

It was daunting at first but turned out to not be to bad, just gotta take your time and have a steady hand, i painted the grill white and did the mesh for less than 100, so i think i did alright.
Custom car grills released a new video last week thats even more in depth on exactly where to cut and shit, its effectively mesh grills for dummies. And the color matching thing i did what "auto diy" on youtube did to his chrome tundra grill

Finally got my mobile Comms complete, bought and installed ICOM 706MKIIG so I now have CB (Cobra 75 WX ST) and the ICOM which is hooked up to 2 antenna's giving me 2M/70cm/6M and HF covering 160-80M.

 

Might have to check it out and see if I feel "adventurous" to trying to do it on my own!

Had my SCS SR8s installed this morning along with my 5100s with the fronts set to .85.
Really happy how it turned out. It rides great.
Highly recommend SCS wheels if you are in the market for rims.
Rims are 16s, matte dark bronze on 265/70/r16 BFGs rugged trails.
Pretty big day for my Taco.
