Want to get new tires while I have the truck apart. Which ones do you guys like and not like? Looking for a load range "c" that's quite, decent wear and good traction in the rocks and sand washes. Going with 35s in case any ones is wondering :bananadance::spy:

Haven't done much looking on tires because I didn't want to get them till I finished my sas but I need them to make sure everything clears so any help is greatly appreciated!

You're not going to find 35s that have all the characteristics you listed. They won't be quiet, durable, and have great sand and rock handling ability. Keep in mind, low ply sidewall in rocks means a higher chance of a popped tire or a de-bead.

Good luck finding some good tires that are dancing banana worthy!

What are good rotors and brake pads that are not the Tundra conversion? I am unsure if I would like to switch to 15s in the future so I don't want to do the upgrade for now. Looking at maybe $300 or to do the complete front.

OEM pads run 75 from dealer and rotors were 160 for me. Have your vin handy, there are 2 different size rotors used on the 2004 Tacoma anyways. Of course I didn't know that till I tried putting the wrong size ones on. (And I'm talking 2 sizes for the 6 bolt pattern, not the 5 lug)

That's good to know. I like OEM parts by all means, but it seems like the OEM brakes were not that great to begin with. Having armor on I am looking for something with a little more stopping power.

Not much. I had to trim the fenders and beat the inner fender back a little. I'll get some pics up. They're 20" wheels which I'm not a huge fan of but I got a great deal

I bought the Duralast Gold Ceramic pads and there basic generic rotors from Autozone and surprisingly they kick ass, plus the ceramic pads hardly make any brake dust. I'm happy and if I remember correctly I didn't spend much more than $75. It's no high end EBC setup, but I'm very happy with it and the price was great.

Pretty sure MTRs come in load range C for 35s. I'm going with KO2s for my 35s, unless the Craigslist deal of a lifetime appears lol.

Why KO2s, if you're going 35s on a Tacoma chances are you are really putting it through its paces OffRoad and while KO2s are a good AT it makes no sense for someone that is OffRoad enough to justify 35s. The MTRs make sense and so do KM2s.

I'm not a fan. But if you like it that's all that matters! You have spacers on too?

No they're just really offset. I'm not a fan of the 20s that much either. But I got the whole set of wheels and tires for 600

I think it's a capable tire and I like ATs... :notsure:. I've been debating KM2s and MTRs as well, and even STT Pros. The KO2 seems to be a happy medium.

Gotcha, I think STT Pro or MTR would be the way to go. I have the KO2s and don't get me wrong I like them, but I wouldn't say they are great in the traction department, the wear life is great, and the snow traction is impeccable for what they are. I guess if you are just making the jump to 35s for the hell of it they are fine, I guess I internally draw the line of daily driver at 35s. What wheels are you gonna run?
