Just bought a 2015 dcsb 6 speed 4x4 base. I want to get a lift but don't want to go through the same vsc atrac control issues that I had with my last taco. It would lock up in turns. I tried all the suggested fixes including the zero point calibration and holding down the button, even made a thread about it, it still happened :(

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...e-calibration-which-one.248719/#post-10367994

so now I want to know if anyone knows of a lift kit that will not do that. I had toytec ultimate lift kit, lr uca's and a block in the back.

anyone running the trd pro suspension as an add on? I wonder if that would work? what other lift kit or set- up has been working without these issues?

what size tires do you have?

    bigger than 265/75R16's?

If so there is your answer.... Bigger tires + a lift creates these problems..... I have a 2in lift all around, no sway bar (read increased body roll) and one size bigger tire (265/75R16) and have no issues with VSC. Bump up to the next tire size (285/75R16) and it puts the calibration too far out of spec and it overreacts, it senses too much yaw for the now slower speed and goes OHH SHIT time to intervene.

Just do what I did, ditch the abs and pop the led's out of the cluster. Problem solved

Tested and approved. I put 5100's, icon uca's and then went to tire 265-70-r17 and i have had no issues. I might try 265-75-r17 next time just to push my luck, but overall i am happy that this worked out and eliminated that annoying braking in the turns. Thanks fellas!

My VSC issues started on 265/70/17 and nobody makes a 265/75/17

The VSC has been the only issue that pissed me off. Mine acted up while completely stock and continued with 265-75r16. Had it zeroed but can't say for sure the issue is resolved until winter is over to drive the pass in dry conditions.

Please elaborate... This issue is pissing me off too. Abs kill mod? Then remove dash and cluster rings to get to light?

I just bought a 3 inch lift kit for my 2014 trdor and plan to run 285/70/r17. Am I going to have problems with this? If so is there anything I can do to avoid said problems.

Even that is not guaranteed Rock. Mine acted up when it was stock with the exception of the cap.

Got me there. But it does prove that tire size/type are not the only deciding factor.

If so, wouldn't a certain weight of cargo (say up to bed height) cause the same thing?

I would think so. But by my own wording Rock is correct on my statement.

Not meaning to disagree, but the reason for asking was you would think that if you were within rated carrying capacity, the load shouldn't trigger the VSC.

Top heavy loads like wood on a cap rack definitely introduces more body roll

More body roll can certainly help trigger the VSC when cornering

Would gearing to put you back into stock ratios help alleviate bigger tire issues with the VSC? Or is everyone with bigger tires just turning the VSC off?

Dang. I was thinking about getting that TRD PRO suspension. But they are pricey. Cheapest one I've found is about $1700. I just wanted a 2" front and 1" rear lift. I keep hearing people are having a lot of problems with the leveling kits though. What's a good lift with some good COs and maybe an add a leaf?
