Yes I know! I watched it at my desk at work haha! It was nice to see them finish when they were inside the box! City looked flat but Liverpool showed up to win.

de Gea had a good game. If not for him United would be looking at 4 or 5-0 ass whooping.

And if not for a clerical error de Gea wouldn't even be playing for United anymore from what I understand. It's up to the Reds now. They can go on or flop next Thursday.
Liverpool must win Europa for a spot. I don't think they have a chance at a top four spot in league play at this point but you never know.

It's not over till it's over, or the fat lady sings. There is still a chance LFC can get into the Champions league spots in the EPL. I think there's still 9 or 10 games left, so everything is possible. But you're 100% correct I think, at least from what was made public, rumors/stories wise. If it weren't for a clerical error, De Gea would be a Galactico and I'm sure MUFC would be worst off now then they are presently in the league table.

 

I'm with you @Toyotacrawler LFC need to win Europa to get a Champions Leage Spot, but Dortmund is really strong and Villareal has a strong defense, so it will be hard. True @Cativelense if it wasn't for de Gea United will be lower mid table and not be 6 on the table, all that money that Van Gaal has spent to bring all this players and can't get them to play good. Talking about de Gea, what a season has been for Real Madrid this year. First they fire Ancelotti, hire a bad Rafa Benitez, couldn't get the paperwork done in time for DeGea, get kicked out of Copa del Rel, bad medical staff... Perez should resign according to all Real Madrid fans....

Hard to tell. Depends on who they have left to play, and same goes for Leicester. In my opinion though, I think it's Leicester's to lose since they are in the lead.

Yep he officially took the reins on Friday I believe. Some notables they have left for this season are Leicester, Southampton, Liverpool and the spurs. Those will all be tough to win. The only home fixture of that group is against Tottenham. The trip to Anfield should bring back some memories for Rafa. If they are to avoid relegation they will have to beat Swansea, Sunderland, Norwich and even Villa. Tall order for sure. I don't think he can save them either. That being said I do believe they will make it back into the top flight sooner than later.

 

The Championship is a lot tougher than the Premier League I think. A lot more teams, with a playoff system in place for promotion as well for (I believe) places 3-6. I think if they drop, they'll be there for a little bit. Question then is, will Rafa still be the manager, or did he "take care of himself" and put a clause in that if they go down he can leave?!

 

That's a good point. Not sure why he would take a position knowing there is a good possibility they will drop. He had to have put a clause in or something. Then again, maybe he likes the challenge.
