I didn't see much last week when I was riding around it. Just a few hills you could pull off and go over. Nothing I saw was too fun but I didn't check it out completely.

Alright, update. Draper...restricted to motorcycles, Murray...restricted to motorcycles, Arcadia...Boring. I found an off-road park in Macomb, OK. It was word of mouth so I checked it out, it is so damn expensive it isn't even worth the drive out there. You have to request a membership then pay $150 for yourself and a vehicle. Oh and if you want to add your wife? That's $75 more. Please forgive me for my outspoken opinion, but the owner complains about "illegal wheeling" and that it's a privilege to drive off-road. Since when did the desire to forge paths on rarely trodden land become an enterprise? I understand that there are taxes on land and I would gladly donate to the cause, but $225 dollars annualy for an hour drive just seems ridiculous. I'll step off my soapbox. Anyone agree? If I stepped on toes, I'm sorry.

I second below the grand dam at Disney. There are a few dirt / muddy trails out there and some rock crawling to be had. I used to take my FJ out there.

I looked up the Disney webpage, looked like a lot of people head out that way.

I wish there were places closer to OKC.

My concern with Disney is whether my stock taco would even be worth driving out there. Two and a half hours with tolls would be a bummer if all I got to do was bounce down some dirt roads.

Based on my experience I think you could find some mild stuff to do that would not tear up your rig too much.

Got my BAMF sliders in today. Hey Sean @frizbal where's the install write up you did? Should be able to get them primed this weekend, but not installed for a couple weeks due to conferences.

Kinda depends what you are in the market for. I have found the best deals on my latest purchases at Rogers County Pawn. Good price on glocks and only county sales tax. They have 10% off bricks of .22LR this month too, just over $.08 per rd.

Thanks for the info. Think the wife and i are going to head over to arcadia tomorrow anyway. Mostly because we've never been out that way and want to check out Pops. Where'd y'all end up going over there? By the lake?

I'm guessing the one in Macomb is big reds?Yeah it seems a bit ridiculous. If I lived nearby and thought I'd go more than a few times per year I'd consider it but for the price i'd rather make a trip every couple months to a new place. They apparently have a couple days per year where they open up to the public though.

I found this video of a couple guys in a mostly stock 4 runner and a jeep out at arbuckle off road park. Looked like they had a pretty good time without any mud pits or risk of rock rash on their doors. Lots of water crossings though. There's a trail review by teraflex out there as well. 20+ miles of trails and they claim there's 'something for everybody.' Anybody been out there?
    https://youtu.be/Mze3Jy-G1FY

I think next weekend if the weather looks good I'm going to head down there. Maybe camp out and check out turner falls and hit up the park. Anybody want to come with? I've got a come along, strap, and a shovel but I would rather have another truck and someone that knows what the hell they're doing. :plane:

That looks fun. I wouldn't be able to make any promises so early. But that's only 2 hours from OKC. I might be able to convince the wife. I'll let you know. I wouldn't camp just yet. No gear. (3 points off the man card.)

As far as off road I've heard good things about sundog trails
    http://www.sundogtrails.com

I got really discouraged when I moved to okc from So. Cal. I was out in the desert and could drive for hours and see nothing but ghost towns. Very rarely ran into a fence. You get here and every sq. Foot is owned by someone.

That said I've been actively looking into offroad/overland stuff here locally. Most of what I've seen/done you will need at a minimum, front and rear hard anchor points, 31"+ good offroad tires. A locker is prefered as well as sliders and maybe a few inches of extra clearance.

That said K trail is pretty cool (just look out for big foot and meth heads). OAT has a mix of everything and would be fun to do for a day or a week.
There are a LOT of trips just over the boarder in Arkansas. They are guided and typically 3/4 day camping trips. If you guys are Interested I'll pass on some info on it.

Oh and I'm not sure if I've posted any thing in this thread. Hey. I'm vandy. Live in far sw okc. I've got a 14 4 runner trail and a 16 trd or.

Arkansas trips are definitely the best. Only a few hours away a tons of trails and camping. Not sure about the guided trails though. We always just head up and see what we can find.

New member here in Oklahoma City! New to TW and new to OKC! I recently purchased my first Tacoma, a 2016 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 DB w/ 6-speed manual. I'm planning on leaving it pretty much stock for now, but I am interested in finding some cool spots to wheel/camp/fish/etc., with some locals that can show me around. I'd love to meet up with some other Taco owners from this forum to learn more about Taco maintenance, overland improvements and general off-roading. I'm still learning how to navigate this forum, but would be interested in a meet-up or gathering. - Thanks!
