What you need to know about lifting a 2016 Tacoma - Presented by Toytec Lifts

I just want to clarify. Will lifting my truck void the warranty? Or only if I don't use spec parts for a '16?

 

I am sure I have seen somewhere in the 2 big 16 Lift threads about just leveling off the front end on the TRDOR, but cannot find it.

Stock rake is about 1" ... measurements taken from the center of the wheel straight up to the fender opening lip on front and rear.

Has anyone installed 5100's on the front to level out and what setting did they use to take up almost all the rake?

Just threw Bilstein 6112s on the front and 5160s on the rear. Also, did the Totec progressive three leaf spring to get 2.5 in the back. It's 1/2 higher in the back and exactly what was looking for. Pics to follow.

What ring did you set the shocks to and how much lift did you get?

 

Looking for your opinion here guys... I have a ´16 TRD OR I´m looking to do a lift on. My plans were to do the Boss lift kit with the 2 inch add a leaf in the rear. That being said, I would also like to add a winch up front which is going to add 100 pounds give or take. I imagine the extra weight up front would cancel out some of the lift up front, and leave me with a lot more rake than planned for. Any thoughts? I´d like to keep about the same rake or even level out a bit while still lifting the entire truck about 3 inches.

 

I have a 16 tacoma and want to level out the front with blistein 5100's. Should i use the stock coils or replace them with a different set?

 

Let me take the easy route, can anyone provide a list of what I need to buy in addition with bilstein 5100s to get a 2.5 inch lift in the front with a little rake?

 

Icon stage 1 installed today. Got about 1.5" up front with the rear left stock.

 

Okay someone school me on leveling kit. So after doing some research, spacer is not a best way on getting truck level as it will not maintain a smooth ride. So I found some Fox 2.0 Coils on Auto Anything site as they are doing 20% off

• Anyone running IFP Fox 2.02 (front part #985-02-002 and rear shocks part #980-24-670)?
• Is this a good deal ($900 out the door with free shipping)?
• Should I be concern of anything before I commit to these?

 

^^^I had fox 2.0 shocks on my truck. They were good but nothing special. I could not tell a difference between them and bilstein 5100s. I dont know if that really correlates to the same performance for the tacoma though.

FWIW you can get bilstein 5100 struts with OME 885s for 365 from headstrong offroad (+100ish for them installing the coil onto the strut). That would save you quite a bit of cash, unless you just want to run Fox. And it would give you a little adjust-ability on ride height

Does anyone know what is the spring rating on an OEM 20016 Taco OR?

 

Current 5100's are not valves for 2016 Tacoma.

I'm very happy with my Toytec Boss 2.0 w ALL. Haven't ridden in others to compare though.

Bilstein 5100 ARH front, and went ahead and added matching rear shocks. Fuel Trophy D552 17" Wheels, with KO2 285/70

Also plasti-dipped the badges and chrome rear bumper, and waiting on TRex grille to arrive and be installed this week.

 

The wheels you chose, do you know the backspacing on them? Did they rub with the 285's without a cmc?

 

This is the option I was looking at for my 2016 TRD OR, did this change your ride quality, as far as the truck handling on the road and daily driving?
