Noticed reflection of round air vent in outside mirrors. Seems to be the chrome circle reflecting. Anybody else notice this ?

I see it too, I figure once I get the windows tinted I won't notice it anymore.

    Yes.
    Both mirrors.
BUT it is not a reflection from the mirror ... it is a reflection from the front side windows that happens to be in the same line of sight as are the mirrors. (Roll the window down, to prove it)

Didn't notice it (but I was not observing much) before I got the front side windows tinted.
Starting to think about plasti-dipping those circles, but am unsure ...

Do you need to know, or care?
I believe what you are referring to are actually built in bulls-eyes, to help you direct fire towards rear tailgaters. It's in the Toyota manual supplement that was recently sent out.

If you put your hand over the chrome ring on the dash vent the reflection will go away

    My tested & working solution:

    Materials:
    • Some black Plasti Dip
    • Small artist's brush
Shake the rattle can per instructions.
Spray a small amount into the cap of the can, or other suitable container.
Dip the brush into the Plasti Dip, and carefully paint over the "chrome" ring. If you slip, the excess can be carefully removed later, or even wiped up while still wet.
May take 3 or 4 applications, waiting for the Plasti Dip to dry in between.

Now, the shiny circle does not appear in the reflection ... but the vent area still does, when the illumination is just right. Much less distracting than before.

    Durability unknown.
