I have been eyeballing the STTs quite a bit, actually, so my decision isn't entirely made yet. The MTRs are always a contender. I've heard good and bad about all tires. The KO2s just seemed appealing given their use across the board. I'll be going with steel 17's, just trying to determine what I need for backspacing at the moment. My rig isn't daily driven.

I'm goin with like a lot lol I've put a 35x12.5 on my truck up front on a 15 with 3.75 and I could barely turn lol! But I think a 17" 35 is only like 12" wide correct?

They are 35x12.5x17. I'm looking at these wheels specifically: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/pcw-98-7983s3-5/overview/
Not a huge fan of Summit due to past ordering issues, but they are the only place I could find 17x9s with 3.5 backspacing. I have spacers right now that I can use if the frame rub is that bad.

I'm running 265/75/16, BTW with metric sizes you really need all the numbers to identify the sizes. All 285 tells me is that it is 285mm wide. I run the front at 34psi and the rear at 32psi. How do you like em?

Yeah, if it isn't daily driven I think there are much better tire choices out there. Mine is a DD, if it wasn't I'd be thinking STTs or MTR, really want MTRs when I jump up to 33 or 34.

I still cant decide if I want to stick with 16in wheels or move to 15in wheels. If I decide to stay with 16in then I will surely do the tundra.

Perhaps I will go this route for the time being until I decide whether or not to stick with 16in wheels. Thanks for you input.

KO2s are still in consideration. I'll post up once I decide on a tire. I need to figure out a gawt damn wheel first!

My bad, they are 285/75/16. Guess most of the first gen guys I talk to running these is the 285/75/16. I really like them so far. I live in the mountains so they see a lot of snow and have performed well. Think I'm going to try them at 34-35 psi. Why do run the rear lower?

Really thats surprising. Just to get my 33s to fit i had to trim the seam welds and beat the inner to hell to stop rubbing at full stuff/ and full lock.

The front has more weight and they squish down a bit more I run lower pressure to get the same contact patch in the rear, just keeping even wear.

You don't have to tub the front so much as remove parts of firewall/footwell and sliders to make enough room, there's no way to go further up. The back is as simple as cutting the arch a bit.

Cut out what you need to clear the tire, weld in a new piece of metal to fill the hole. BFH was good for 285s, but I'll need more room for the 35s now.

I have no plans to do that haha. I'll stick with 285's when the time comes!
