What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Yeah how many holes did you burn/almost burn through lol

 

I was hoping to go 17x9s, but I'm only finding them in ~4 BS. May have to settle with 17x8s in order to get better spacing. Any input on 16s vs 17s?

 

I like my 16s, that's about the only input I have. No real downsides to 16 and you get more of that sweet sweet sidewall. I've noticed a bigger selection of wheels in 16in sizes but I think the tire selection remains the same with tires for 17s being a bit more expensive.

 

What's the width on the F5s?

 

Pretty sure it is 8"

And in the spirit of what I might do to my tacoma today is install my tca ucas when I get back from hawaii

 

VINs do not contain the paint code.
The code is on the factory 'sticker' on the driver-side door jamb. Look for 'C/TR' (Color/TRim)

I know a 315/75r16 is narrower and not as tall as a 35x12.5r15. Not sure on 17s. I'd probably go 17s though.

 

Nice! I'm designing some skids this weekend too. I'm going to make it out of 1/4" plate that I have form work. It's free so why not. I'll only have it on when I hit ruff trails.
