    ^^^^^^ As is this ^^^^^^

Plus any legal action initiated..i.e. a class action....could pretty much "freeze" any other remedies that you, as an individual. may (or might have) at your disposal while the parties involved "negotiate".

Toyota would be on "Gen 7" before it all shook out.

As a cali truck, it was never eligible for this anyway. Only trucks from certain 'salt belt' states were eligible. Those that were, got a letter from Toyota saying they were eligible.

I took my truck twice in under the recall. The dealership didn't apply the spray as they were supposed to do so. Anyone else have this happen?

So you went to the dealer with your letter from Toyota and twice they said no. What reason did they give and did you not question it? I'm not saying by the way the CRC was the best solution Toyota came up with for the long running problem but it was a decent effort.

Lets put Toyota out of business paying law suits !!

Is that not what most people want ?? To Have the Company pay huge sums of money to Lawyers ??

My Truck is 15 winters old in the Liquid Brine Belt I would be Surprised if it was not a Tad rusted !!

I fixed it and moved on .

Although I understand and somewhat agree with your point...toyota was worth over $256 Billion last year. So putting them "out of buisness" for some lawyer fees and a few lawsuits? That's like pocket change for them.

Has anything happened concerning a class action suit for the '95 Tacoma ? I just fell thru the looking glass today when my rear shock broke off out of the blue, cracking the frame rail too. Was near Toyota dealer and had them look, they say so sad too bad, give us $14k and a half year to put a new frame on. I want to join the lawsuit, I'll do the 4 things mentioned. What else can I do to help ? I never got a recall, love the truck, but will not buy another Taco since they are STILL having frame warranty issues that should have been cured long ago.

The only frame rust you'll ever get in Cali is if you drive on the surf of the beach. There's barely any humidity, rain, or moisture here. No rust at all on my frame, still looks brand new.

Just found out my 2000 Tacoma has a very rusted frame. If anyone has info on a Class Action Suit for first gen Tacoma , I would like to know about it. ( Had Toyota dealer look at frame five years ago. They said no problem , it was rust proofed. Thought I was not going to have rust problem.)

You had until the 15th year, so your opportunity was finished in 2015. If service dept at dealership led you astray, the best thing would be for you to call Corporate Toyota and take it up with them. Keep your expectations low and don't waste too much time on it. I expect you'll get nothing, but more frustrated. I recommend repairing yourself or paying to have it repaired or parting it out and moving on. It sucks, I just don't want you to get your hopes up. That's not fair to anyone either.

along with @cruiserguy mentioned, much can happen in 5 years. If you did not take any steps yourself to help protect the frame since that day, then rust can still happen. The coating they provided is not "rust-proofing" per se, it was a coating to help prevent direct contact with the frame

    This thread is stupid.

Dumber than most of the 3rd gen threads even.

Have you ever noticed that about 70% of new members join just to ask how to sue Toyota over a decades long settled issue?

And about 20% are just advertising their truck for sale with as "what's it worth?"post?

What do you mean by very rusty, there are probably worse out there.
