It was a blast. Best damn fish tacos I have ever had right there because of that catch.

Finally found a 4x4 only spot to fish! Or at least high clearance. Been searching for a place I can just roll right up to and get wet for a whileDSC_1067-HDR.jpg

I really would like too! I'm planning on going camping on my birthday and was either going to go fishing to or maybe try to call in some yotes somewhere

Yes. If I ever have time off again in my entire life. Was going to get out this weekend but probably doing Mexico instead. Let me know if plans are being made and I'll try and get out!

I'm camping and fishing all of the time. With the really early spawn this year, fishing started out great already. I'm about to get a trip together to go for big catfish again. I missed my big cat last year again, so it's time to up my game.

I haven't hit it hard quite yet. Once I get a couple of business trips and some yard projects out of the way, I'm going to get out A LOT this summer. Looking forward to camping the north coves of Pleasant for some cats and stripers this year, and getting back up north for some trout. I'll throw for some bass in between those two.

Have you ever fished on canyon lake? Is it any good? I want to take my kayak out somewhere this month and fish for anything that'll bite. Haha

I always enjoyed fishing Canyon Lake, and a kayak would be great for it because of all of the steep coves you can go to. I haven't been there in years because I live in the northwest valley and Canyon Lake is a 2+ hour drive. Lake Pleasant is 1/2 hour away and I'm on the water.

I can understand that. Canyon about an hour from me. That might be where I go this month. Are there some good camp spots out there.

Camping out there sucks because it's a steep walled lake and the camp spots I know of are all prepared sites with tons of trashy people. If you can haul your camp gear on your kayak and go north up the river, there are some beach spots but lots of boats tend to hang around those at least during the day. Also depends on how low the lake is right now.

Pretty sure there is no overnight camping in the prepared spots. Just day use ramadas and grills.

Cool I'll have to look it up. May have to just go up north to a lake up there or something
