Thanks. I wish I had what I had a few months ago. Moved away to go to school. So budget was cut big time, and won't have a garage for a few more months. Tax return paid for gearing and I'm currently working out of friends houses using their tools. Can't wait for summer so I can have a more proper garage again.

 

How much of a difference was there after putting in the 2.85 pulley? And how do you like the duratracs?

 

Between the pulley and intake, I feel like I've gained back the power that I lost by adding the weight of bumpers and going to a 285 tire. It isn't huge, but it is a noticeable difference. And I'm excited that I'm finally regearing and going to get all of the power back.

And I love the duratracs. A buddy turned me onto them a while ago. He ended up putting 65k miles on his on his 4Runner. There may be a better mud, sand, desert, snow, or crawling specific tire out there. But the duratracs handle all of these terrains, and all of them very well. I'll drop mine down to about 18-20 psi in the dunes, and 25 psi in most other offroad situations.

And thanks as well. A collaboration of ideas gathered from multiple other builds. And the love for getting my hands dirty and learning, has tonight me some decent fabrication skills. Can't wait til this summer when I move somewhere with a garage again. Since moving out here, I've got a list of 5 trucks waiting on me for bumpers, sliders, other random stuff. Should be more good practice and some side cash.

and last weekend out with some buddies that have jeeps. i was bringing up the tail, and got yelled at over the radio because there was a "jump" ahead and they wanted to pull over and watch me hit it. i'd barely call that a jump, but it entertained the jeep owners lol

Woohoo frond diff went in yesterday. No pics, but 4.56's all around now.

Decided to go climb a tree since class was cancelled today.

 

Been working on a few things lately. Built some skids and they are about 90%done but functional.

Rebuilt my uca's with new uniballs and bushings.

And the new gf bought me a rear chase/ light bar for my upcoming bday. So I am working on a mount that will eventually become similar to the allpro black Betty cage.


So eventually looking to do something like this.

 

Well the light bar mount/ to be rear bar for the cage is done. Not too bad for now.

And finally finished the skids I started a few weeks ago. Already tested and bashed em last weekend and they are far better than stock.

Last pic is my bolt head savers that aren't tall enough to save them from getting dragged across rocks. Better than nothing I guess

 

Was looking through your thread and turns out I live like right next to you! Bad ass truck I have seen it a few times in the complex. I'm diggin the chase rack.
