Thanks :) I've got a plate bumper going on this weekend and getting some steel mesh welded around the bed so stuff won't fall out anymore :p Had I not discovered this place I probably wouldn't have bothered with the bumper, or the wheels. This damn site is making me spend more money than I like to. :smash:

    Yes
The only thing that's weird is using the word anthropomorphizes when talking about naming trucks

Minerva, a strong female name for a strong truck. Named after the Etruscan/ Roman goddess of wisdom, arts/ handicrafts, trade/ commerce, strategy, and war. Pretty fitting for the traveling art fair artist I thought. And I like the name.
Minerva's origin in mythology is badass too- Her father was Jupiter who impregnated the titaness Metis, but because of a prophecy that his child would overthrow him, Jupiter ate the pregnant Metis. Well while inside Jupiter, Metis forged weapons and armor for her child. The banging and ringing gave Jupiter a headache, so to relieve his pain, Vulcan used his hammer to split open his head. From the cleft, Minerva emerged "whole, adult, and bearing her mother's weapons."

    Badass.

Also kinda fitting because my first major trip with the Tacoma was to Jupiter, FL. So it all makes sense to me.

side note: my Jeep's name is Bernadette after the Four Tops song ha

That sounds like an urban legend, or your grandad was pulling your leg, or someone told him something wrong and he believed it.

It is never mentioned anywhere in the history books that there was any thought of nuking Germany. All the history of nuclear
targets dealt with the Pacific theater.

It was also known Gemany was going to surrender. It was obvious. They were getting squeezed on both sides.
Japan was another story, they were fanatical. After the resistance at Okinawa and Iwo Jima the invasion estimates for the mainland were brutal (100,000 casualties estimated on the first day).

The two nuclear drop bombers were Enola Gay and Bocks Car.

My dad always called his cars "Esmeralda"
It was always funny when a jalopie was struggling to get up the hill and he yells, "Come on, Esmeralda!" as he slaps the steering wheel as if he's whipping a horse. :)
So, needless to say, all my vehicles have been named "Esmeralda"

Named mine "Jessica." Partially because she's sexy and red like Jessica Rabbit, but mostly because this is what I hear in my head when driving:

What can you do period. Lol. They think your truck is more important than them regardless. Especially when you post nothing but stuff about your truck on Facebook and not about them. Ha. She's come between our relationship on more than one occasion. Just glad she doesn't know about all the stuff I post on here.

And I also sometimes call mine a "cougar". Because she's better looking than some around her same generation, and she preys on the younger (newer generation) ones a lil. Heh.
