The brake light is easy... Just take a volt meter and identify the wire that comes on with the brake pedal and doesn't blink with the turn signal. Take the left tail light out and stick the probe in the plug till you find the right contact, then use a quick splice on the wire. The dome light... Do you want it to come on with the cab dome light, or on it's own switch in the canopy. If it's on it's own switch I'd just tap into the always hot wire in the trailer plug harness.

With the seat up it isn't bad, it doesn't run constantly with lockers so I think I'll be able to tolerate it. But I am planning on putting a 5 gallon air tank under the back and using that for lockers

Apparently swap meets are a great place to buy air tanks.

Jim picked one up for $13 last weekend @ the swap meet in puyallup. I think he was the only one out of 4 or 5 of us to buy anything. Actually Tom bought a snatch block and some shackles.

Aluminum or steel? Yeah that is a good price, I just never have time to go to one.

@JimSnell it was steel eh? It's maybe 5 gallons? Looked like it would fit in a 5gal bucket.

5 gallons looks right. And yeah, steel. Very, very, steel. Best part is, the stainless ball valve attached to it is probably a $30 fitting.

I took all the fittings apart, cleaned everything, checked for rust... then put it back together with tape and rectorseal. Now, 6 days later it hasn't bled off 1lb of air. Good buy. Should've grabbed the goped too.

If you ever see an aluminum one in good shape pick it up for me and I'll pay you back. Preferably black but I can paint it

Have any of you northwest guys had your frame/leaf springs replaced? I assumed most of the really bad frames were probably where they salt the roads heavy and use de-icer. I checked at my local dealer and he said he doesn't have a remedy for leaf springs it's in preliminary stages. Anyways seeing what your experiences are

Under the bed. Just can't be more than 10" tall (I think, I have to measure) with the feet on.

My 06 passed frame inspection. I've received the tsb on the leaf springs but just replaced them with some OME dakars. Gonna see if Toyota will split the price on them with me when they finally produce a recall. :fingerscrossed:

This thing is probably 12-14" diameter. My thought is that all pickup trucks are inherently front end heavy, and therefore aluminum in the rear end is not going to be the best thing for stability and traction. Get two 2 gallon truck air tanks, should be about 9" diameter and 18" long, and steel.

I have a 250 pound rear bumper.. Traction isn't a problem lol but a lot of rocks are going to be kicked up and possibly scraped on rocks, don't want that to rust too. Already hate the steel rear bumper as is
