That garage looks a lot smaller than your last one...

It's actually bigger in square feet but its long and narrow so the space isn't as user friendly. I have a little over 3ft on each side of the truck and plenty of space front and rear it's definitely not ideal but I can make it work.

I ended up getting some nasty cold/flu stuff over Thanksgiving and was pretty sick all of last week. Feeling better now and was able to finish up tonight. Used the plasma to cut all the old brackets then did a some of grinding and finished up with cutting the knuckles off tonight.

I decided to not use the high pinion reverse 8" third, so it will be going up for sale soon if any mini truck guys are looking for one. Going to pull a LC 9.5 third this weekend out of a 89 FJ62. So this is what I think its going to look like LC 9.5 third into a custom housing with 80 outers, measurements to be determined best guess 67" but I want to get more time with a tape on the truck before I commit.

I found a set of long body ASCO hubs they came on 76-78 FJ55's and some FJ40's so they are fairly hard to come by. They may not be entirely necessary, you can make short body Aisin's work but I thought they were super cool so I picked them up.

That's all I got for now....

Yess 9.5s are what I'll end up with if I ever get my truck paid off, or if someone totals it.

Def oNe of my favorite trucks on TW! Are you still digging the the interco tsl's? I love the profile of this tire on a small rim. One of the few tall skinnies I've found in 35+ range. Do you think I could get away with mounting them on a 16x7 Toyota steel wheel? They have a narrow 9in treadwidth, yours are 7.5 wide rims correct?

Thanks, my opinion is that they would be fine on a 7" rim. My rims are 7.5 but I had a Q78 swamper mounted on a stock steelie there's pics in this thread of it. I plan to use the current TSL's on a 7" steelie and swap them to the cruiser when I go to a bigger tire on the pickup. TSL's are a great tire for a tall skinny.

Interested in the LC axle swap from ruffstuff, is there a difference in track width vs the stock Tacoma width?

Gonna go with Brian @ diamond axle, should end up at 67" front, the rear will remain stock for now which I believe is 64.5. I don't have my note book with all my notes in front of me. I still need to order the housing, I've had a few set backs this winter with things coming up like our furnace and a new snow blower were the big ones. So I've been helping a friend put Toy axles under a 67 Willy's wagon to pass the time.

Didn't really have plans this evening until a friend called and said our buddy was stuck in the desert, so we grabbed the truck and headed out to give a hand. Here are some pics from the recovery.

We rigged up the snatch block and went for it, unfortunately the bank was too soft to hold.

Several vehicles have been stuck in the area and left some good lumber laying around so we gathered it up and then used the other Ford pickup to anchor my truck and got him out.

I'm glad we were able to get him out, although I think there is a lesson to be learned. Last week some folks had to call for a Blackhawk to rescue them after getting 2 vehicles stuck the vehicles are still stranded a little further east in the Kimima desert. In my opinion this isn't a good time of year to fuck around in the desert, I learned my lesson several years ago after burying my cruiser and having to walk home and get the pick up to recover it.
