Yea, that was my initial thought too. I'll check with the dealer I guess and see what they say.

    Haha. Sounds about right.

I'm not sure I like the TRD knob though. I don't like how there is a big gap between the knob and the boot. Are they height adjustable at all? I was looking at the TWM Performance shift knobs, but they are not cheap. They look like pretty high quality though.

Non adjustable however you can slide the boot all the way up. I'm not sure if it will stay though. I like how it looks as is personally and it definitely makes the short shifter even better with the added weight it has.

Not me. Of my 4 Toyotas that I have owned this is the first with a warranty. So I feel like the standard warranty is great.

I don't think you'll regret it, this is only my second vehicle and my first M/T and I couldn't be happier.

I got the lifetime powertrain warranty. My drivetrain is covered for as long as I own my truck. I blow my engine, clutch, trans, ect, for example, with 500k miles it gets replaced for free.

Hey guys, new 2016 Toyota Tacoma DCSB OR M/T owner here. Sold my 2011 2 Dr jeep wrangler Rubicon 6 sp to for it. The manual in the tacoma is so much smother and better shifting than the jeep. The only thing I hate is the location of reverse in the front left instead of rear right and entering third gear seems to be a little notchy. The dealers in this region know they have gold with 7545 trucks so I did not get a great deal, but I got 500 off and a free 6y/75k bumper to bumper. It doesn't matter because I got the truck I wanted which is almost impossible without waiting for gulf states toyota dealers to trade allocations or switch an already made allocation. Black DCSB TRD OR 6 sp with Tow, Premium Tech (non-jbl), and some stuff I didn't want.

I drove my parents automatic sienna when I was a teenager but since we only had manual cars. My wife just bought a new corolla 2016 manual tranny, and I am still with my tacoma 2002 manual. Now when I drive an automatic tranny, I feel like I am not in control of the machine. It's worst with an electronic pedal. Man made the machine to control it, if I want to downshift on a gravel road to increased my adherence and my fuel consumption, SO BE IT LET ME DO IT.

    Welcome.
Sounds like you equipped your truck the way I wanted mine. But we can't get MT Off
    Roads up here (DBL Cab).:annoyed:

I also found 2nd-3rd a bit notchy when mine was new. It's improved since it hit 2000 miles thankfully. It still takes a bit more extra care than the other gears but nothing I consider unusual for a manual transmission truck.
