Well, now you've got me wondering about this. I'll call my bank and see what they say after I wake up.

It will help, just tell them you want it placed towards the premium. It should lower the interest. But definitely double check with them before you do it.

My wife worked in personal loans for many years. This is from her...
Putting more money directly towards the principal will do two things: cut down your loan time and cut down the total interest you end up paying. This is as long as you keep making the same monthly payment for the remainder of the loan balance. The interest rate, as long as it is fixed, will not change.

Yeah. We were able to drop more money on my truck after the initial purchase, and cut 3 years off of the 6 year loan. On my wife's car at the time, we did the same and cut 2 years off that loan.

We went 9 years without a car payment, then bought a new Corolla 3 1/2 years ago. I can't wait until this car is paid off.

I figure if i sell the other vehicle for 5k ish, ill take aboht 1 year off, plus i can sometimes earn up to 1200 bucks extra in overtime and throw that at my truck which is 2 payments or 3 if you exclude the interest

We all still need to get together and meet up. I've taken my truck out to Amelia Island beach a couple of time for fun, I just wanna try something other than sand.

I drove through Jennings yesterday, hit Bell Cemetary Rd, and got to Skeleton Key Rd... Most of those are all fire roads though, so nothing too technical. I wouldn't mind going to the other side and seeing what's around there.

    All sand BTW.

"Middleburg" as far as the Post Office is concerned, but closer to Orange Park

I've never been. I want to do some easy, not-to-technical driving, so this sounds like the place to go.
What's the best way to get there? And is it pretty easy to navigate?
    Thanks in advance.
