Obviously I can see that a lot of you have done this conversion. If you don't mind me asking. What was the rough total cost, and also how well has everything looked once put together? Any major noticeable differences?

Another big thing that I'm concerned about. Is the overall value of the truck. Would doing this conversion help to raise the value? My truck has 145,000 miles on it, which I know these things run forever. But my thought is that by the time I rebuild the front end, redo the interior with Huskey floor liners and custom leather seats, upgrade the dashboard and literally change every light on the truck. That it will have an overall really custom feel that a potential buyer would appreciate. (As you can tell, I've already done some of this, with the rims obviously changed and my tail lights are aftermarket) but with remote start and heated leather seats. I HAVE to think that it would go up a lot compared to where it is now.

It costed me $400 because I sold my old stuff and took my time to find color matched parts

im not sure there are much more than a dozen-ish of us actually. it looks pretty amazing, haven't had any trouble with it at all. you can read through my build thread for the details.

if anything it might lower the value. the general rule is that mods do not add value, this is why most trucks are taken back to stock condition when sold, so as to appeal to a broader market rather than niche enthusiasts like us. there are way more potential bone stock buyers than then are guys who will be willing to pay for stock plus your modifications. if you plan to sell your truck later, I wouldn't do this. youd be better served getting a 12-15 later instead.

in my case, im keeping mine forever, and doing this makes it literally unique on the planet for swb color.

Does anyone know what I could realistically sell my parts for? They're all OEM.

ten year old used parts? prolly a couple hundred if sold locally. stuff like that hood and bumper will cost more to ship than they are worth. my old hood is still sitting in the storage building.

I already had the front rebuilt 2 years ago. A guy blasted through a red light. So all of these parts are about 2 years old.

^ More then likely some of it is not OEM anymore. This mod will not raise the value of your truck unless you find that guy who appreciates this mod. It just might make the buyer question the truck actually. I know I would wonder if I purchase a 2007 with a 2012 front end.

So don't go into it thinking this mod will raise value.

Stupid question. Could one put a 2nd gen front end on the 3rd gen? The pig-face is the only thing keeping me from looking at a 3rd gen.
