NW WA Meet / BS Thread

I view rust like this.....if a nuclear reactor can handle tightly adhered surface rust, so can anything on our trucks. I only touch up paint the rust I do get for appearence more than worrying about the actual rust.

(Mind you not talking about rust with actual thickness or that is flaking off but I haven't seen that on a taken care of truck in the northwest)



Ps congrats on the gears and locker! One of these days I'll get them for me. Though I'll go back and forth between 488 and 456 for a while before then lol.

 

That's what I mean, I just hate seeing it. I know it'll take a long time to actually rust through 1/4" steel but it's still annoying. I actually like it since it's so heavy that it gives me traction. But as for an air tank I'd rather save the weight and not care about how many rocks hit it.

 

I stopped caring about looks awhile ago lol. Little surface rust here or there...meh just blends in with the pin striping lol.

That was the whole meaning of getting a light chair and folds small. I would of gotten nuttz if my wife came out with that bulk piece of chair

They're a cheaper vesion of the Pico telescoping chair. $80 cheaper, to be exact.

 

Good find Alex. I actually just got the seats to go with my TJM theme. Seats are comfortable/light and NICE!

 

This is the one I got. Fits betwen the frame rails where the spare tire carrier used to be. I haven't installed it yet.

Yeah, looks like it could be. That guys setup looks pretty sweet except for the location of the compressor. Not sure I'd want mine underneath the truck.

 

They are so big though that there aren't many places to mount it, especially in an access cab. Im glad mine is behind my rear seat, ill deal with the noise if it means I can keep it clean and dry.

Can you tell me how Mule mounted it? Bolts, screws etc. I assume it's attached to more than the plastic.

 

I can get you detailed pictures later but basically mounted the compressor to an aluminum plate, then that to the back behind the rear seat.

Speedo is corrected for tire size?

 

I used 2 different GPS apps and they came out different.. So not sure but I bet it is
