How Wideman can still insist his contact with the Linesman Don Henderson was " accidental " is beyond belief .

 

Why is he still in the league is beyond me. In my mind he she be tossed. just as he tossed Henderson.

 

It shows a lack of character. Which you can also see on the ice. The guy has been a flake for years. He basically has 3 great years in the NHL and far more inconsistent years.

It's looking like his career could be over. I think Wideman should lose all that pay (and more)....and it should go directly to Henderson.

 

I'm sure this was placed on Bettmans desk today. The negotiations with the NHLOA are going to be on like Donkey Kong.

 

I suspect the NHLOA will hold fast that the rule needs to be changed in CBA negotiations. Injure a ref, even when your mental capacity isn't there, and you get a maximum suspension or else no NHL officials next season. I wonder if the NHLPA will need to sign off? If so this could be an interesting story beginning.
