Pinterest workout today because I didn't feel like driving the 15 minutes to the gym.
I also did an additional 2x10 incline push-ups because I've gotta work on those.

    From Thursday

I've gotta work some more lunges into my workouts, Tuesday (same workout as Thursday but 2 rounds instead of 3) was my first day with lunges in a long time and I've been sore since.

Love hate relationship with wrist straps. I have a pair that I used to use pretty much anytime I did barbell shrugs and deads. But we've had similar discussions on this thread before about them and I've basically been talked out of them. I do still use them when I max deads ONLY if I can't get a weight, I'll try it with the straps to try and cushion my ego a little...

I don't use them on shrugs anymore at all.

I never use gloves. I like peeling my calluses too much :anonymous:

I Don't wear gloves, and actually had a couple girls say they liked my callouses a few days ago. It was weird.

I do use straps for shrugs and any time I want to totally focus on a particular muscle and not on my grip. Like pull downs and rows. Never use them on deads.

Definitely counter productive going to the gym this morning. About to head out to a restaurant tour where you sample for at 20 different restaurants.

Gross. Just let your hands beef up. Get a pumice stone if you don't like having rough calluses.

this. I used to wear wrist straps for shrugs and deadlifts all the time. Now, I only wear them when maxing out on deadlift. When pulling over 400 lbs, I don't want to have to focus on grip. As for shrugs, I decided I could work on my grip while I shrugged, so I stopped using straps for them. My grip has improved so much that I can shrug 125 lb dumbbells about 20 times before I have to drop the weight. Before I went strapless, I could only do it around 5-6 times.

    Gloves are for women.

Gainz, brah. I'm seriously considering going to get the All Star Special this morning...world's best hangover cure. I got drunk as fuq last night on accident lol. I finished a 25 page paper for school around 3 yesterday and had a few beers. Then the wife, some friends and I went to Mexican for margaritas. This Mexican place makes the strongest drinks ever. I had one 32 oz. margarita and was lit. We went to a friends' house afterwards and I saw this snapchat this morning :anonymous:

Embrace the callus life. I hate shaking a man's hand and it feeling like a baby's ass.

A pumice stone doesn't get rid of your calluses, it smooths them out. It's necessary if you are trying to prevent tears on exercises like cleans. If you are relying on calluses to make your handshake manly, you are probably a woman.
