    No problem, Casey.

IIRC, when we were messing with Rick's HIDs, the high beam wire wasn't wired into the ballast. If you're original plugs are still there, you might be able to tap power from there. One of those wires should be hot when you have the high beams on.

I just tested them again. Turns out, low beams use two hot wires and when you turn the high beams on, one wire cuts power. No idea why they did it that way, but I'll have to wire them up another way.

    Same here, until today.

She's doing her flea market stuff and I'm parked right behind our booth working on getting these things wired up. ;)

If it's popping the fuse, then you either have a hard short somewhere or you're trying to draw too much current through the circuit. I'm not sure how you decided to wire it or if you ended up using a relay, or not so I can't really be more specific.

On my front, if it wasn't for bad luck...

So, I got out there and tore the frontend of the truck apart, intending to pull the LCAs and clean the lube off the adjustment cams and I ended up finding a whole crap ton of shit that was toast, starting with the right hand steering rack bushing I just replaced back in November. I also found some issues with the aft LCA bushings on both sides. Probably should replace them, but we'll see. Anyway, I cleaned the lube off them and cleaned the mounts and I'm hoping that will cure the moving problem. So, I'm going back together with it and I noticed that my upper balljoints on both sides are freakin' toast. So I had to pull those and head up to Autobone to warranty them. They actually had them in stock, if you can believe it, so I should be able to get them in tomorrow and get everything back together. Then i should be able to get it aligned...again. :frusty:

By the way, I didn't wire it up to my high beams. I bought a switch and an In line fuse. Ran the power without the switch to test lights and it worked fine.

Here's the weird part... I wire the switch up and I go to flip the switch to on and the wires begin to smoke. And even with the switch on, the lights are still on.

I talked to @Taco No Baka and he helped me out. I'm a noob to wiring, surprised I hooked the sub up right. I was running the ground to the switch too. So now I'm running the power to the switch and from the switch to the light.

Well to the two of you, I found out I'm not supposed to bake it in an oven I cook food in. So I'll have to wait until I can find somewhere to bake them

if you want the switch to illuminate on "on" you need to ground one of the switch terminals as well

Lights are all wired up now. I gotta say, I'm glad I went with pods instead of a bar. It looks cooler to me, that's probably because everyone and their mother uses a light bar though.

Here's some pics of the finished product

Mounting the light wasn't fun though. Ended up pulling the bumper and the crash bar off the truck.
