Yeah I'm happy with the extra clearance. Whole inch forward! Hahaha we still love you.

Dude seriously! Efffff that. It was literally no fun at all. I love wrenching on my truck and building stuff and working with tools. While I was building those axles, I had to do everything in my power to not break random things in my garage and throw things and set things on fire. It was horrible!

That would definitely be your best bet. Let someone else do it and have the headache. The main reasons why I did it myself was to save money and gain knowledge of how everything works so that I could be confident in fixing anything if something were to go wrong at some point.

Thanks bro! I appreciate it! Make sure you keep that part number for the boot kit so that anyone else who has the issue we had can source that stupid frickin C clip!

You'll be back on 4 wheels soon enough buddy!!!

Please post the part number if you have found it. I wanna add it to an LT axle build thread. If I ever get around to it.

Jared said he found those clips in the CV boot kit. Apparently they didn't have them by themselves

Yeah, toyota doesn't have a part number for the clip. It only comes in the $60 boot kit. The clips they have numbers for is 04030 and 04040 both are in the boot clip as well. Kinda dumb. I did talk to CVJ and they said if we could get the a picture and size of the clip they could setup a part number for TW members that run into this. I don't have a micrometer to take the measurements.

Would a good set of calipers not get you a close enough to measurement? I don't think it has to be perfect

Hahaha I should have taken a measurement before I installed but right when the clips got to my house I was so anxious to install that I forgot!

What I meant was that coming from California, that's a lot of driving for a 1 year old and I don't know how well she'd do in the truck for hours at a time off-roading haha
