$7,100 repair bill. Covered by other parties insurance since they were at fault. I was able to pull off the black fender well plastic and drive it to the body shop though, no airbags either. Drivers side door wouldn't open though, so I had to go in the other side. Parts list off the top of my head: new bumper, door, hood, everything on the front that was plastic, headlight, foglight, and some other odds and ends.

    More pics

Before pic right after a wash the week prior to the accident:

When your primary hood latch lets go, you really need to stop and re close your hood. The secondary hood latch will not keep the hood closed at high way speeds when a gravel train passes by. The wall of air will lift your hood and fold it back to the windshield. It is not fun trying to drive looking thru the gap between the bottom of the hood and the engine compartment.

Cost me $175 for a new hood and $60 in paint supplies and a huge blow to my ego for being a dumb ass and not pulling over in the beginning.

Since I rebuild these trucks as a hobby, there was no quote from a repair shop. Just my own time.

I'm going to go ahead and remove my front air dam... I went wheeling yesterday... And had this one really steep incline to get through... Had to fill it with rocks just to change the angle... Scraped up the paint on my front bumper and put a hole in the air dam. I'll take some pictures before it comes off but now I can't wait for solid steel bumpers.

Before - shopping cart at Home Depot. I went in for 6 dollar screws. Cost me $700 to repair. Parked in the back away from carts too. I guess karma is a bitch.

What the hell is wrong with people? Do we all need cameras surrounding our trucks to avoid belligerent damage?

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
Always end spots and far away but still not always safe. I cringe when I go to Costco and Home Depot the two worst parking lots.

I have to check my receipt, but I believe my new windshield was $500 or $600 CAD installed.
Had a rock hit it while on a trip and by the time I got home it was an un-repairable 4" vertical crack. Turned right for about 14", then left for another 18".

Not a good pic, but the best I have. Let my daughter and new SIL borrow truck and trailer to move. He left the tailgate down while backing and I now have a small divot in the top of the tailgate where the trailer jack hit. I looked around for a few months trying to buy a used white tailgate. I found several in the $250 range, but nothing in white. I was willing to pay that if I could find a white one. Not worth $250-$300 and then have to pay someone to paint it. Finally just decided it's a truck, and it don't look that bad. Especially with the shell on it. That was 2 years ago

I hate to ask... But why didn't you make the SIL pay for it? Cause he's family? That sucks... But you're right, it's just a truck. I personally will not lend my truck out to anyone since it's my only vehicle and people never seem to take as much care with someone else's vehicle as they do with their own.

I wish I had a smart phone at the time this happened but long story short I had a couch in the back of my 2010, and had some road rage guy at my window threatening to kill me until the light went green... I was shaking... It was a tense situation and I still don't understand what I did to this guy to piss him off...

So when the light went green, instead of just driving, I put my truck in reverse and went to back up to the road rage guy to see what he wanted rather than get out of my truck and get murdered.... I couldn't see over the couch, didn't look like any cars were behind me (no reverse camera at the time either) I backed up right on top of this Chinese guys Ford focus...

Destroyed the little car... $12,000 was the payout... That was the last time I drove that truck, I lost my license, I took it off the road, waited a year for the KM's to go down, took it back to the dealership and gave them the keys... My life was wrecked

Why did you lose your license?
Screw the d-bag road rager. No reason to be scared. Most of the time it's just talk. I would of drove in front of him and dropped the couch out of the back of the truck in front of him.
