I'm not really sure, they let my last bike go with HID's that I just threw into reflector headlights. As long as it has high/low and are reasonably well adjusted, they probably would let me go. Dammit, you're going to make me spend more money on my 'cheap' bike...

It's because they are well made. You want cheap shit that will fail on you in less than a year, buy the cheap shit and learn your $100 lesson before buying a Baja designs light. Whatever you want to do sugartits.

Thats like people saying you have to buy rigid.

There are plenty of companies out there with lifetime warranties for way less money

Lifetime warranties are only good for the lifetime of the company, not of the product.

If you buy from a company that offers shit products, they will be out of business sooner than you'd need the warranty, so you're shit outta luck.

Also I'd rather buy a good product that doesn't NEED a warranty than a shit product that has a good warranty. Because you know what happens when a shitty product gets fixed with the same shit components? It stays shit.

Why did you buy a Toyota truck or a DRZ, both known for their reliability, rather than a cheaper product with a better warranty?

I wouldn't buy a Rigid light, but I would buy a Baja Designs.

You can't compare transportation to lights.
I'd rather buy a cheap light every couple years than one ridiculously overpriced one that will get stolen and I'll be pissed.

Quality costs money. Either buy a shit product multiple times, or a good one once.

    Buy once cry once.

I'm just surprised mr. extensive maintenance is against buying something that is built better because it costs more.

I guess if you don't have to replace it, it cuts down on maintenance.

if the $150 light bar i bought for my truck dies, the company I bought it from will upgrade me to a newer/better light (SeaToughLED)

I understand you get what you pay for Tim; i'm not completely retarded.

I shop for these things and ask lots of questions before I buy. I'd rather be out $150, than $500 if something would happen to it.

I would rather try my luck with a sub $100 light for the bike and have more money for other parts, than spend $500 on a big fancy, complicated light that I don't even like.

Besides, I still have to fabricate a means to attach said light. That in itself is something I enjoy. I'd like to make something myself and when I break it, I have no one to be mad at but myself

    I understand that.

But if you buy from some guy (which a lot of these random LED bars companies are...a single person) that is doing it as a side job to make money, there is a good chance they'll get tired of it because their product is literally the same as 90% of the market.

And yea, if it's for a lightbar that you're going to be using a few times a year and for the convenience of having some extra light, dropping the extra money on a better quality product might not be worth it.

But for something you use regularly that you rely on, the better product is worth the cost.
