Is that free floating on that bolt? Nice tacks on the tube too.

I just do the mental math. My Speedo used to read 10% slow which was easy. Now it's 4% fast after rehearing per GPS.

Well the team had to earn it this time with some great racing all the way to the end but we successfully defended "home" turf and took home the title in Class 7100 for the second year in a row. Really proud of our team and a now pretty well proven truck that Sirhk100 built out of his garage. Winning a competitive class at an event like the Mint is a big deal to us and we are able to do it thanks to awesome people like Matt at MCM Fab who's front kit now has probably 2,000 hard miles on it without a single issue. The stock 3.4L (with auto tranny no less) is underpowered and we're heavy as crap but thanks to Matt's kit we can beat the dog shizz out of it through the big stuff and that keeps us in the game.

Also thanks to SDHQ for always having what we need when we need it and for all the great support they provide off roaders. And Cliff for opening that door for us way back when. One last plug...those Red Labels...our used set of four that already had a few hundred miles on them crawled the "f" out of that 100 mile mall loop around Primm and Jean without a single flat. And we beat second by roughly the amount of time it would take to change a flat so yeah...thanks GT!

You going to spill the beans on who did this to your truck yet? 'Cause that't not work to be proud of. Going to have bent hardware real quick if the tacks don't let go by then.

Yeah, never again. So many throwbacks with this guys it wasn't even funny anymore. Lots of corners cut, they took 2+ weeks to fix the gears issue... the list is long. At least I got 4.56s now. I'll put 35s, on the first air something is going to break, shit probably even before that.

So I'm debating between long travel and extended travel for the front suspension. The plan is to install Chevy 63s in the rear with 12" travel shocks. I have almost everything I need except the brake lines and the shocks but I'm going to order the shocks this week I hope

So the question is what do you believe would be best? Even if I decide to not get LT I want to upgrade the uppers and lowers. I've heard people have issues when converting to LT. I plan on doing kings all around and using it for my daily. Thanks for help/advixe

Extended travel since your not doing rear lt. I wouldn't even do lowers at that point. I personally feel if your spending the cash on lowers then you might as well do a 3.5 over kit

Did they not use an inside misalignment spacer? Might just be the angle. There's some welding that needs to be finished too. Looks like that top is 12 gauge plate. Pretty thin. If you're ever in san diego, I'd be happy to make some adjustments to that bed cage for you. Need a few more tubes as well since there's no horizontal support to keep that cage square.

Hey guys, probably better served in another sub forum or whatever but can anyone give the the basic run down on the difference between the 2nd Gen Tacomas versus the new TRD pro deals or whatever? Are those considered "3rd Gen" now? Sorry I haven't really followed all of that lately. Happy to do the leg work myself too if anyone has any recommended reading...

So the difference between 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen... body style looks slightly different? New drivetrain too right? Anything else significant?

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
Different body, drive train, and frame but the suspension is all the same or very close at the least.
