Nice! Got one too. I'm excited to get it all in. Prolly going to put in the compressor and air fill line first. What's your opinion on having a front one? It would be cool I know but I don't know if I'd ever really need it. I already blow front axles when I boost in 4wd.

2 TRUCKS!!!!!! What the deuce? That's a lot of work to do the head gasket. Things got to be milled too to fit right. Get only genuine Toyota parts for that too. I'm sure you know. That's impressive tho towing two rides in 4lo. Looks like you're dragging that other taco. Bummer man. Keep your head up! I like the black on yours, I was thinking of painting mine soon.

My smog is due by the end of this month too so that also sucks. I don't mind the work but I don't wanna do it lol.
Also welded my exhaust together and now I'm gonna need to remove it to do this ): probably should find some used manifolds.
I've rebuilt an entire dirtbike motor so I'm sure I can do this. There's also a 6 video step by step on this procedure on youtube

All I can say is damn. Hey, how is it with the 35s? I just need to get my front geared and I'm gonna get the 35's but was just wondering your experience (pros/cons) with them. And you've convinced me to paint my truck. Hahah. I might do a hammered flat black but I like your grey too. I just need to buy paint, have everything else.

You don't have to mill shit. That's only for a metal head gasket.

This will be an easy fix of just replacing the new ones so long as you didn't fuck anything else up. The hard part will be cleaning the motor out to get the oil out of the cooling system and the anti freeze out of the oil.

Otherwise. Be a Saturday afternoon job.

I drove 90 miles home and the coolant never moved...coolant looks great and the oil is perfect...the truck ran pretty cold the whole drive home.it was cold and raining

Looks like the gasket kit is gonna run about 300$

If it didn't overheat your probably fine. Just replace them and you'll be good. You caught it before it got bad.

Your heads will warp not crack. If it got hot that's when u will be pissed. Sounds like just a gasket swap. How do know u blew the gasket, what are the signs and symptoms?
