Have been lurking this forum for about a year now. Had never had a truck until about a couple days ago.

I worked as a fire lookout, and was assigned a truck as my daily driver to drive through the fire roads, up the mountain to the lookout. After driving a truck for my first time I realized just how much more capable, fun, and tough trucks really are then say your average sedan or even crossover.

As I spend my days up living on a mountain isolated for most of the day I would go through the forums on this site and I settled on a Tacoma due to numerous reasons, (reliability, mods, off-road capabilities) but also just how much people really love their taco speaks for the truck.

I was driving a 2001 bmw 330ci before, so it's a big jump in differences but also a more enjoyable one.

It's my very first truck, so I do not have much background knowledge to mods, off road driving, or accessories but if someone could point me in the right direction to learning some basics it would be greatly appreciated.image.jpgimage.jpg

Welcome to the Tacoma World family  In reference to modding your truck you could look threw the 3rd Gen Thread and ask around there. Also whereever you are I'm sure you can probably find a thread that's made of a community around you

So what do you think of your truck? and don't ask us for input, because were really good at spending other peoples money!!!!:mudding:

Nice job picking a SPORT! I know you'll catch shit on here because you didn't buy an OR and you'll be off-roading. Just put a set of your favorite all terrain tires on and you'll be fine.

I love my truck really pleased with the way it drives and handles, and it feels like a full size truck but still drives like a midsize truck.

The red inferno interior seems to get a lot of hate on here but from the pictures I seen on the forum its night and day difference once you actually see the interior in person. I really like the inferno it makes the engine touch screen standout and the orange stitching on the seats gives it a unique look in my opinion.
