I am getting ready to install some spring liners and need to take the leaf springs apart. I've never done it before. Is the following correct?

    Remove from from truck
A couple C-clamps on the springs
    Remove center pin
    Loosen C-clamps gradually

    Reverse for re-install

Would just as soon not lose a digit doing this so confirmation of the above process or suggestions would be appreciated.

Pretty much all it is, yep.

You'll be good, use at least 2 clamps, one on each side of the centering pin.
