Anyone experiencing this?

The rubber at the base of the windshield, mine is coming off. I don't believe this has anything to do with the TSB as it reffers to the modling around the top and sides of the windshield. When I pull this rubber just below the wipers it comes out competely and lets water inside. Looks like I am looking at the dash board but I doubt thats what I am seeing, I would think i'm seeing the inside channel.

 

it may not be included in the tsb, but its definitely warrantied man. take it to the dealer. if that keeps on......when it rains, you'll have a soaked dash, and that can lead to electrical problems if enough water gets in there.

 

i thought he was referring to the windshield seal.....oops!!!

 

No sir no pics its dark here. It is just a "T" shaped rubber at the base. Hell I'll go get a pic.

Hey it worked. I just realized how bad my black plastic looks. Something else to do tomorrow.
I am going to the dealer in the morning. I just noticed this around 7 and they were closed I called to make sure.

 

that may be for looks.....to clean up the windshield cowling, but since its under warranty.....i'd let the dealer fix it.

 

I was cleaning my windshield when I noticed it was out and all the water was going into the gap that it was supposed to be covering. Pretty big gap it leaves there. I'll bring it in even if they just seal it up. Just so long as they don't lean on my fenders when they are trying to get it right. Thats a pet peeve of mine.

 

Ask TWmember Brooksd. I know when he bought his truck new, the dealer had to do some type of repair/replacement to his windshield. He may be familiar with the problem and what it entails.

 

Thanks for the info guys. I may just take a better look at it in the morning and use some 3M to keep it in place.

 

I have the same issue. Dealer wont touch anymore at 55k miles. Good luck. I was wondering if anyone had the same issue. Im glad im not the only one, but it sucks your experiencing it too.

 

Well I called one of the guys that works at the dealership that I now go to. He is a Tacoma owner and I keep him posted on TSB's and info I get on here, tried to get him to join but he won't atleast not yet. But he said they would just push it back in, so I decided that I won't make a special trip for it since it is a 30 min drive one way. I just shoved it back in and let it ride.
