I've been watching a series called "My Classic Car" on my Amazon Prime. Love the cars, especially some of the more obscure ones they get on there. But the guy who hosts the show is such a giant awkward dork that sometimes it's difficult to watch.

I can only manage 1-2 episodes before I need a break for a couple of days, lol.

I was actually at Purgatory Chasm this weekend. It was real nice. My gf and I went a few months ago but the chasm trail was closed due to ice. It is open again. Real cool place

    Mustache guy....I forget his name.

I miss TWO GUYS GARAGE and SHADETREE MECHANIC. Those shows were always half interesting and not just one long infomercial like the SPIKE shows are now. Quick...How many times can you crowbar in a WD40 product in a 30 min show.....grrrr

    Yeah, Dennis Gage.
The sourcing old parts infomercials in the middle of the show are interesting, but not that helpful to me since they're mostly about Chevy or Ford parts. The few MOPAR parts sources they feature are for the cars, not for the trucks, lol.

nice. When I did 5100s on mine this summer I had about 120,000mi on them and they were in a similar state. Actually came off much easier than I thought.

I like the powernation shows but it really is sad how many times they need throw a product name in there "Ok now I'm going to cut the piece on my ""insert name here"" saw then I'm going to bend it using my ""insert name here"" tubing bender"

Yankee Workshop and This Old House have gotten to be the same way.
"Now we're going to go over and use our $15,000 *brand name* combination planer/jointer/router/juicer that you probably don't own, rather than showing you how to do it with the tablesaw and router that you probably do own"

TOH especially used to be about tips and tricks for maintaining an older/vintage home. Now it seems like it's mostly about flipping, or ripping out and remodeling with new products.

Well that's the trend. Everyone want's to either flip houses or walk into them no one seems to want to fix up there own houses.

    True.
I can't criticize too much, since my first house was bought specifically with flipping it in mind. We put the profit from that place into our current one (another fixer-upper). But neither of them are vintage homes; the first one was a foreclosure that was built in 2000, and the second was a foreclosure that was built in the late 70's.
I remember they always used to have old Victorians, or American Craftsman-style stuff on there. If I had one of those I'd be even more frustrated with the current format than I am as a casual viewer.
