Update, I adjusted the clutch pedal to get the engagement point correct and it feels much much better. So there may be hope.

I put my notice in yesterday and leaving on thursday, boss is trying to keeping me to stay. My sr director and vp are upset that im leaving and gave less than a weeks notice.(despite if company were to lay off, they give zero notice) Now said they were going to promote me and give me a raise blah blah. heard this before!

 

Who's going to install it?

 

Haha dont you love how that works. Whits company keeps telling her she will get a raise and promotion then 3-6 months down the line still nothing. Then she says she Is leaving and the dangle it in front of her again. Been happening for 2 years now.

 

I can remove a cover and plug a SSD into the laptop. They imaged it yesterday, then a phone call to get some settings updated.

 

this is where I'm at as well. since the merger, they have been cutting all the big earners and shot callers around here. forcing the once small company business model out the door for a VERY corporate model. morale is at an all time low especially after they let go our Director here. We all believe it to be because he was "on our side" and fighting for us and our location. He would butt heads with the other execs. Well.. now that he is gone, and they replaced him with a "yes man" everything is going downhill, very fast.. and we will be lucky if our location lasts another 9 months. They have been trying to find ways to shut us down, and we have been fighting trying to show our capabilities (we have more than any other location, yet we dont fit their new business model).

its a typical merge and absorb scenario here.. which puts me in a "fuck this place" type of mood.. anyone got any work available? lol

 

Im hiring a trainee. But seriously that sucks dude. Luckily Its the valley and there is work to be had. Hopefully it gets better for you.

 

I have been working my ass off for a promotion too. working weekends, staying late, running errands, learning as much shit as I can, and stepping in for the guys they laid off. running the machine shop, CNC's, programming, mill setup, running the warehouse, etc, all while doing my regular job duties. I was promised a promotion for the last year if I put in the effort.. which I certainly have.. the truck parts I have made as practice is proof.. lol The one guy that was fighting for me and helping move up and get that promotion, despite the company trying to shut down the machine shop/prototyping side, was let go. now.. all that I've been working for is for nothing, and there goes my promotion and everything else that was going to come with it.

 

So in East Mesa by the airport there is a company called Able Engineering. Ive ran into a few employees and they all have great things to say about working there. Well I saw today that they have a Sys Admin position open and I applied. I have supported Aerospace for 2.5 years now, im hoping I can at least interview. This place is 2 miles from my house.
