Lol. Someone didn't pop their Xanax tonight!

In all seriousness I would prefer to save my uniball cages, misalignment spacers, and misalignment spacer/ uniball bolts to prevent them from breaking off, so the straps are a great insurance policy even for MT

In all seriousness they are an absolute neccessity now on my +2 kit, the cv's completely lock up a couple inches before the kit is fully drooped out. I could destroy a cv if I mall'd too hard without them.

Haha. Couldn't resist. I don't have mid travel but I just installed a full suspension with Icon extended travel shocks on the front and rears. Sims Racing's shop is local to me and I'm hoping Brandon or Dale will throw my truck up on the rack and school me on shock travel, bump stop heights, straps etc.

You dont need Xanex on a mid travel setup, you just need xanex to calm your tits.

Why are you still visiting these parts? I thought you ascended to LT greatness?

The 6 ply trail gear straps would be my suggestion because they stretch the least so you will not have to readjust them a ton as they break in in like a 4 ply strap.

Oh no, I came running back because I was told that my +2 kit is pointless, useless, waste of money, not running glass is stupid, camper shells are stupid, having a bed is stupid, being able to fit shit in your bed is stupid, only being able to afford just one truck is stupid blah blah blah...and although @jberry813 proclaimed +2 to be long travel...that exact same evening over in the long travel thread they ripped my head off and shit down my throat and told me +2 was just mid travel...funny thing is that half of those dicks have a +3.5" kit up front with big ol' glass fenders aaaaand stock leaves still out back AKA " the SoCal " all show and no go build "

i ordered mine from Poly Performance. I like them so far, i ran them tight initially so i could get the stretch out of the way.

i have blown up two CVs each side because i didnt have the straps. Some will make the argument that i dont need them, im not mid travel nor long travel. "you're a poser". Well, ive blown up my CV axles a few times and personally am tired of replacing them so fast and i dont want the coilover/uniball working as the limiting factor. So it really depends who you talk to and how douchey they are if you need them or not.

I got mjne from PRP. Quad wrap, additional stitching "military grade." They work well for what I like to do. They haven't let me down yet.

I just dunked both of mine in very hot water. They stretched as I drooped them out.

You should switch them out to the SDHQ LT boots Sam! They work awesome and are full rubber!

i have them in the garage but im far too lazy to boot them. Maybe if it happens again ill swap them knowing the axles are brand new.

Question for the King shocks guys. How important is it to get the resi on the rears? I'm told by some to get them so I can add an adjusted later to make my ride a lady on the streets (unloaded with gear) and a freak on the trails (loaded with gear). Already have front kings with resi. Going 12" kings in the rear. I've heard conflicting opinions from guys a trust but would like more data.

"Do I need Resis" needs to be in the OP. Someone much more knowledgeable than me should answer it, but still, it should be there.

Get them if you can, and you probably can. But rear resi's aren't as important as front resi's
