    Then see if it'll start. Worst case is that it doesn't, in which case the motor's smoked and you'll have to tear it down anyway.

    No, but I've always bought my motorcycles used. There's a LOT of absolute shit bikes for sale on CL with descriptions like that. I especially like the "never down" description, and you get there and the plastic and muffler's fresh but the case looks like somebody took a belt sander to it.

    Edit- Why am I telling you this? You've bought used bikes. You know how people are.
