    That's rough Josh.

I wish their was more out there. I've been keeping my eyes open for something better the last couple years.

I sit around A LOT. Old school family owned business that doesn't want to let an "outsider" have any actual access to the system/data. So everything I could do, instead requires all manual data entry.

This sounds like AZTW needs a big money backer to fund truck modding/camping trip/midget stripper/food consumption shenanigans on a corporate level.

Yeah Its a opening. But it would be a hell of a pay cut. I dont want to sound all proud but the simply cant afford to take me on full time.

I hate job hunting aswell its no fun

Ive spent the last 8 months just kind of looking around at jobs. I update my resume and have 2 different versions of it and cover letter. I get a lot of calls for contract work and have made some recruiter friends in the industry.
Its easier to find a job when you dont need it and I would encourage each of you to take the 2 hours to update your resume and post on Indeed, careerbuilder and Monster. Update it every 3 months and make sure you are searchable.

Josh, if you can run a CNC machine and want to do that, look for jobs that do that. Also, it's a bit of a drive, but the last time I looked L&H Industrial was hiring a CNC machinest. I worked there before the recession hit. Great company. I would go work for them, if they had a drafter position opening.

I'm learning to weld aluminum next week though, so at least worse comes to worse I can just be a welder.

Thats a great spot to be man. I met a guy right out of welding school that got a job at Able. Shit, if you wanted to move north you could be a welder where they are fracking. Supposed to be a great job up there.

Im in the process of learning to lathe, mill, cnc and weld. Not all at once obviously, but hopefully over the summer and fall I can become pretty good at everything.

im not sure about welders specifically, but the oil companies have been on layoff mode recently with the oil prices dropping like they have been. idk if I'd want to be in such an unstable work environment.

Been through this in the past. When a promise is made, hold them to it by saying something to the affect of "Do it now, let me at least see it in writing" or walk away! Always remember, be true to you, and it's always easier to find a job when you have one.

I applied for that too! Just kidding!!!! I agree with the keeping the resumes up to date, and change a little something on them every few months so they get "bumped". I am in no way looking for new employment here in AZ as the company I work for out of NY and I play so well together, but I get job posting emails and calls from AZ recruiters a couple times a week.
