Optima yellow top: 3 years and 8 months is that about standard? Was my only battery for 2 years and 8 months, and been my aux battery for a year now.

It drains faster than before. And idk if it's a loose connection or what, but sometimes the battery will read 0 volts and none of my accessories work, then like a minute later, it'll work again. WTF!

Yeah...but V8 & 18.5 mpg's- and it's the same size of the Tacoma. The best feature of my work truck: it costs me $0.00 to drive. Worst part: Dodge.

I'm usually in the office or at site meetings, but occasionally put stuff in the bed to transport light equipment/ materials when it makes sense. Glad I talked them out of giving me a Prius. Not that there's anything wrong with them...

Yeah pretty much all of our work trucks at the refinery are old Fords, F250s and such. Problem is, they've all been going 25mph or less for the last 20 years, they have no pep left lol. I borrow a guys truck that works in my office so i can go to the food truck every so often (for the free diarrhea) and even when I gun it a little bit, it feels so sluggish compared to my truck! Also they probably haven't been serviced in forever lol

 

I drove a Prius C around for a day. It was a spare vehicle at our company after a sales person was let go.
It's fine. It's like a civic and a regular Prius had a baby. When a horse and a donkey do it, you get a mule. With the Prius C, it's like a rabbit and a squirrel fucked, and you have a Chinchilla. I think that's what the "C" stand for.

 

Yup, Toyota dealer gave me a choice between Prius C and Ford Focus, obviously I went with the focus, then I walk out and they go...oh shit the Focus is already rented out...the Prius wasn't that bad. It was fun trying to stay in the 'battery' zone for about an hour, and then I missed being able to get up and go, at all. I was not very impressed. But for driving around for a full day running errands and only using 1/4 of a tank wasn't so bad.

 

Mine's not bad. It's a 2008 Dakota and only had 34k miles when my boss bought it 6 months ago. Power seats, windows, mirrors, etc. shocks are clapped out and scheduled to be replaced. I have no good reason to complain.
We were actually looking for a 5-lug Tacoma, but they were all too expensive or had high miles.

 

That sounds pretty good. I actually almost bought a Dakota with a V8 magnum when I was truck hunting. But it had like 40k miles and they didn't want to budge in price, way over KBB. No thanks, I'll go across the street to the Toyota dealer...my new girlfriend says she like Tacomas. Now shes the wife and won't admit she regrets telling me about that lol

 

There's a good reason why there are few Dakota enthusiasts: they don't last. At 40k, the suspension is worn and the tranny doesn't feel right. Our 4Runner's tranny was still great at 140k.

Your wife made the right choice- with the truck at least...
