My Mexican 2016 Tacoma had low tyranny fluid, loose U-bolts, dry u-joints and now the passenger seatbelt indicator reads off even when people sit on it.
Third world country.. Nothing to do with simple mindedness.

BTW, can you show me a link and/or some info on the Mexican plants awards for quality and excellence, as you stated?

America is a continental land mass, not a country. Mexico is America.

You can use Google as good as anybody can.

If you want to assume your truck has those issues only because where it was made and who by then I don't have time for your silliness.

I am not sure it matters but my ACTRDOR was built in Texas and I've had zero of the issues mentioned here, except for the slight whistling in high wind.

When it comes to the 2nd and 3rd gens ALL access cabs, reg cabs, and anything with an I-4 was either California nummi plant or San Antonio built.

For the record....the Baja plant has been producing Tacos longer than the Texas plant....for what that's worth....which is probably nothing. But most of the parts for each plant are sourced from the same N. American suppliers. BTW...I believe the engines come from Alabama...like most V6 and V8 engines used in N. America.....though Toyota also has a large powertrain plant in Kentucky that was first to produce the 2GR back in 2004. So I guess it's possible some engines could be made there. They also produce a large number of transmissions in West Virginia...but I don't know if they supply the Taco's tranny.

The bottom line? It's almost for certain that most, if not all, of the powertrain is produced somewhere in the U.S.
