Recently my truck has been acting very strange, I have been searching around and cannot find anything that describes the symptoms my truck is having or a definitive answer.

Every time I start it, after it sits for about an hour or more, and I go to take off in 1st or reverse, I ease of the clutch and start getting on the gas and the truck just sits there. It eventually starts to slowly move forward and then the revs drop down to just under a grand. Then it just sits there for a few seconds and then the revs go up and the truck starts moving.

It is perfectly fine while I am driving, only happens when I start it up.

Any ideas on what this could be and how to fix it?

Clutch master or slave sticking? Try pushing the clutch in and out a bunch before starting then try. Could also have someone watch the slave while you push the clutch and see if it sticks.

I have tried that a few times and it does seem to help a little, I'll have someone watch while I pump the clutch and see what happens.

How about the fluid level in the slave reservoir and maybe check the adjustment or linkage.
